About St Michael's Nursery and Infant School

Welcome from the Headteacher and Chair of Governor's

Set on the outskirts of Workington town, you will find our delightfully small Victorian school sitting perfectly in its own extensive grounds. Despite being a town school, we hold a village like presence and the character of the buildings make schooling here a dream.

St. Michael’s is a nurturing school. We are one big happy family. It is a place where each child is embraced and guided to be the best version of themselves. We are inclusive of every single child, offering a bespoke curriculum which is paramount for meeting their individual needs.

The children at St. Michael’s are excellently behaved. Positive learning behaviours are embedded throughout our wide curriculum and children achieve highly.

Our curriculum is exciting, progressive and challenging and our children thrive from its content. You will often find us ‘learning’ outside of the classroom as educational visits are a huge part of what we offer.

We would delight in meeting you in person to tell you more about the education we provide and the highly trained staff we have within our school. Please come and visit us as our little school will certainly speak for itself.

Best wishes,
